INTERVIW WITH YIUWAI
(yiuwai is the founder of AFA, Asian Football Association.)
1)Hi yiuwai. Seeing your victories in 1st Division League, i could call you "cannibal". What's your secret?
The secret is , donŐt worry about a single match, plan for the whole
season. Make a long term plan for your team before the season start,
and try to achieve the most out of it. If you plan it good enough, a
single game will not hurt you too much. You'll end up winning more if
you had the better long term planning.
2)You play Hattrick from 3 years. Since then how did it changed?
Wow, much has changed. Ever since I started to play, we have star
player for each new team. You'll have a player generated at around
formidable but a bit old, for the sake of helping new players.
Changing the random coach system to the current one and implementing
coach leadership decay. Also adding skill levels from titanic to
utopian between supernatural and divine. The experience change is
stunning, players with high experience suddenly sell a lot more, it's
so pity i didnt buy one! Actually the changes make Hattrick a better
game, a better and complete soccer manager game.
3)Perhaps some coaches don't know you are AFA's founder. Could you tell us how was this idea born?
Well, it's 2 years and more already. By that time I'm still playing
in China's league, i met the other founder aznboy who later was
blocked for unknown reason. We came up with the idea of creating a
federation which holds a cup for teams in asia regions and a place for
chinese to gather by that time. But we slowly improves and now, it's
one place for all, and all in the one place :)
4)After the change of president, AFA is organize itself with new projects and new objectives. A sign of active federation. What do you think about it?
It's great absolutely, steve and i had discussed a bit about it. We
thought it's time to let who's interested to take the responsibility
to take charge of AFA President, and luckily the right person, exile
came up. More activities mean more fun to our members, we had also
thought of holding more activities sometime before. But we gave up
purely by the reason of labour shortage, ever since we strive to
provide quality but not quantity. However it has changed now, I see
there's a lot more members who're keen to help, that make things a
whole lot easier.
5)Would you say something to new members?
Enjoy your time here. Everything can be talked in the conference,
many of us are keen to answer questions. If you're going to face a
difficult game, try to ask there, I'm sure you'll get nice responses.
Many of us will help you to analyse and give our own comments so that
you'll feel easier with your game. In AFA, "you'll never walk alone"
:)
6)How do you see the asiatic community in the hattrick world?
Seems the Asian community owns very little part of the whole HT
population. Party because of the asian languages that's so different
from English and european languages, it needs time to translate it.
And it takes effort for new asian players to understand what HT Rules
is about. But I forsee if HT is translated, it'll lead to a boom in
asian community.
7)In your opinion, why large countries as Nippon and China have so few users?
For the case in China, as I said, language matters most. They
prefer games in Chinese, as there's alternatives in soccer manager
games, they never try Hattrick out seriously. I am not sure about the
case in Nippon, I guess partly due to the language and mostly they're
attracted by the greatest soccer game - Winning Eleven. :)
8)And now, in this new season what do you would for you and for AFA?
For my own team, i'll try to defend my title. While the season is
about to begin, i'll try to sign some young trainees. And for AFA, I
hope i can win the AFA Cup sometime, it's the most prestigious cup i
ever wanted to own. Also i'll help giving prizes ;)
